Here we go again—another so-called “bipartisan” budget deal that just papers over a massive $6 billion deficit with more backroom deals and political maneuvering. It's wild how both parties always manage to come together when it’s time to spend more of our money, but can’t seem to agree on shrinking the size of government or cutting unnecessary programs. It’s good that they managed to avoid a shutdown, but I hope this “bipartisan” deal doesn’t just mean more watered-down compromises that leave working families behind. Real solutions would prioritize funding for public services, housing, and healthcare—not just balancing the budget on the backs of regular people. I’ll be watching to see if this actually delivers for Minnesotans or just keeps the status quo going.
