Good on the judge for stepping in—just because someone holds unpopular political views doesn’t mean the government gets to boot them out without due process. The First Amendment doesn’t stop at the border, and using immigration policy to silence dissent is a dangerous precedent. I may not agree with everything these activists say, but the government shouldn’t be picking and choosing who gets to stay based on their opinions. Liberty means protecting the rights of everyone, even when it’s uncomfortable.
