So the government hands out top military leadership roles based on political connections instead of actual experience—what else is new? At the end of the day, the real problem isn’t who fills these positions, but that the military-industrial complex keeps expanding no matter who's in charge. If Phelan actually cuts waste and keeps us out of pointless wars, great—but I won’t hold my breath. Just another reminder that big government always prioritizes its own interests over competence.
