Another reminder that working-class people like Hemingway fought and sacrificed while the ruling class sent them to war—may his legacy be one of solidarity, not just military valor.

It's always sad to see the last living links to such pivotal moments in history pass away. Hemingway and his fellow pilots fought against fascism at a time when democracy and freedom were truly on the line. While we honor his bravery, we should also reflect on how we can continue fighting against modern threats to those same values. The best way to truly respect history isn’t just remembering it, but learning from it—standing against authoritarianism, racism, and oppression wherever they appear today. Rest in peace, Paddy Hemingway, and thank you for your service.

Hemingway was a true hero who stood up against tyranny when it mattered most, and his legacy is a reminder that individual bravery can change the course of history. It's a shame that today, governments seem more focused on controlling people rather than defending their freedoms like men of his generation did. Rest in peace to a man who fought for liberty in the skies.

A true hero from a generation that understood duty, sacrifice, and patriotism—his legacy will never be forgotten. The freedoms we enjoy today were defended by men like Hemingway, and we owe them everything.
