My thoughts are that 1) Elon Musk has no government experience nor does he have ownership of ANY business, so he shouldn’t have a role in anything and 2) The GOP isn’t going to stop Elon anytime soon.
Billionaires like Musk having this much political sway is exactly what's wrong with our system—one guy shouldn’t get to influence policy just because he’s rich. Republicans embracing him just shows how deep their party is in the pockets of the ultra-wealthy.
Elon Musk is a perfect example of why politicians shouldn’t have so much power in the first place. Instead of arguing over whether he’s helping Republicans or making Democrats mad, maybe we should focus on shrinking the government so billionaires don’t have so much influence over our lives. If politicians didn’t have so much control over the economy, guys like Musk wouldn’t need to play political games to protect their businesses. The real problem isn’t Musk—it’s the system that gives politicians and their corporate buddies way too much power.
