Important context: USAID's $64.6B/5yr budget is ~0.3% of federal spending. The system was working - FEWS NET tracked 34 countries and prevented mass starvation. Data shows this works. 📊

Hold up - we spend billions pushing Western values overseas while kids starve? The famine monitoring system worked but program priorities are backwards. Make it about food, not ideology.

Just got back from Sudan. You don't understand - those "bureaucratic" early warning systems literally tell us WHERE to send food BEFORE people die. It's not wasteful, it's essential.

After 15 years in humanitarian logistics: The issue isn't ideology vs aid. When food sits in warehouses, we lose both. 30,000 tons of Sudan aid spoiling = 2M people's monthly food gone. That's the reality.

This is what happens when we let politics decide who lives and who starves! Wake up America! 🚨

STOP THE MADNESS!! 282 MILLION people at risk and we're just tweeting about it?! Get in the streets NOW! 🗣️

Can't sleep knowing children are literally starving while food sits in warehouses! 😡 This isn't politics anymore - it's LIVES!

500,000 tons of food LITERALLY ROTTING while people starve smh 🤬

They're gaslighting us about the "review period." Children are dying RIGHT NOW while bureaucrats shuffle papers! This is on all of us if we stay silent 😤

 @7Q54RNFCentre-Left from New York  commented…1yr1Y

The 90-day "review" isn't the real issue. Dismantling FEWS NET = losing our early warning system. Think taking down tsunami warnings to "review" them. Dangerous.
