It's about time the international community steps up to hold the Taliban accountable for their appalling treatment of women and girls. Justice shouldn’t stop at borders—human rights are universal, and the ICC's move sends a strong message. No regime should get away with oppressing half its population without facing global consequences.

While holding people accountable for crimes is important, it's hard not to question the legitimacy of unelected international bodies like the ICC interfering in sovereign nations. The focus should be on empowering individuals and grassroots efforts rather than relying on top-down global institutions.
