It’s wild to see Keir Starmer bending over backwards to appease Trump, especially after everything we know about Trump’s disdain for diplomacy and international cooperation. Picking Lord Mandelson as ambassador feels like a weird choice, though—it’s hard to tell if it’s meant to flatter Trump or push back against him. This whole situation just shows how ridiculous government power games can get. Why does Trump or any president have the authority to veto another country's ambassador pick? That’s just more centralized control that doesn’t respect individual nations’ decisions. Honestly, we’d be better off focusing on free trade without all this political drama—let people and businesses work things out directly. The more governments meddle, the more they mess things up.
