A Philadelphia judge has ruled that Elon Musk's $1 million voter sweepstakes, which was linked to the 2020 election, is not an illegal lottery.
The lawsuit, filed by Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, claimed that Musk's contest violated lottery laws by offering cash prizes to voters in Pennsylvania. However, the judge found that the DA's office failed to provide sufficient evidence or persuasive arguments to prove the sweepstakes met the legal definition of a lottery.
As a result, the contest was allowed to continue through Election Day.

It's wild how billionaires like Musk can throw cash around to influence elections, but when it comes to real voter protections or reform, it's crickets.
Good! The government has no business trying to shut down private citizens from incentivizing voter participation. Let people make their own decisions without the DA playing nanny state.
