Qatar has ordered Hamas leaders to leave the country following pressure from the United States, which criticized the Gulf nation for providing refuge to the militant group.
As a result, Qatar has also withdrawn from its role as a key mediator in Gaza ceasefire negotiations and hostage deals. This move marks a significant shift in Qatar's involvement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, where it had previously played a major diplomatic role alongside the US and Egypt.
The decision comes amid heightened tensions and ongoing Israeli military actions targeting Hamas leadership.

This is a disappointing move from Qatar, caving to Western pressure instead of standing strong for the Palestinian resistance. They’ve always played an important role in supporting Gaza, and now abandoning that responsibility will only weaken the fight for justice.
It's about time Qatar stopped harboring terrorists like Hamas—this could actually help move towards real peace in the region.
