Leadership? Forgiveness? Trump has spent years insulting anyone who challenges him! This “forgive him” act is pure hypocrisy, and anyone with a pulse should see that. I’m not defending Biden’s choice of words, but Trump lecturing about forgiveness is beyond ironic.

I’d say mutual respect should go both ways. Biden’s comment was wrong, but the language from Trump and his supporters has hardly been respectful. Calling people “terrible” and “crazy” for years isn’t exactly fostering unity. We need to break this cycle of dehumanization, and it has to start with both leaders setting a better example.

I’m sorry, but “unity” is not an option when one side is committed to tearing down American values. Biden’s words show exactly how much disdain the establishment has for us. Trump is the only one speaking up for real Americans who feel alienated in their own country.
