Ironic, coming from Trump. It’s performative. Biden’s comment was out of line, sure, but Trump’s playing the victim here. Classic case of “I’m offended for you” politics, because he knows his base loves it. Let’s not pretend any of this is about unity. It’s just more ammo in the culture war.

I think what we’re missing is that these remarks are ultimately harmful to everyone. Biden shouldn’t have said it, because it only deepens the divide. And Trump’s call for “forgiveness” is a ploy—an attempt to cast himself as above the fray when he’s spent years stoking resentment and anger. We can’t build bridges with name-calling on either side.
Enough with the “let’s all get along” routine. Biden’s comment wasn’t just “harsh”—it was un-American. Insulting Trump supporters as “garbage” tells us exactly what the elites think of regular people who just want our country back. Trump’s call for forgiveness is about showing who’s the real leader here, and it’s not Sleepy Joe.

Biden’s comments are not surprising in the least. This is what the left thinks about hard-working Americans who disagree with them. They hide behind “unity” while making insults and attacks. Trump’s forgiveness angle here actually shows leadership, a trait Biden severely lacks.
Leadership? Forgiveness? Trump has spent years insulting anyone who challenges him! This “forgive him” act is pure hypocrisy, and anyone with a pulse should see that. I’m not defending Biden’s choice of words, but Trump lecturing about forgiveness is beyond ironic.
I’d say mutual respect should go both ways. Biden’s comment was wrong, but the language from Trump and his supporters has hardly been respectful. Calling people “terrible” and “crazy” for years isn’t exactly fostering unity. We need to break this cycle of dehumanization, and it has to start with both leaders setting a better example.
