As the coronavirus tore through the world in 2020, and the United States and other countries confronted a shortage of tests designed to detect the illness, then-President Donald Trump secretly sent coveted tests to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his personal use.
Putin, petrified of the virus, accepted the supplies but took pains to prevent political fallout — not for him, but for his American counterpart, according to a new book by Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward.

He cautioned Trump not to reveal that he had dispatched the scarce medical equipment to Moscow, according to a new book by Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward.
Putin, according to the book, told Trump, “I don’t want you to tell anybody because people will get mad at you, not me.”
Four years later, the personal relationship between the two men appears to have persisted, Woodward reports, as Trump campaigns to return to the White House and Putin orchestrates his bloody assault on Ukraine.
In early 2024, the former president ordered an aide away from his office at Mar-a-Lago, his private club and residence in Florida, so he could conduct a private phone call with the Russian leader, according to Woodward’s account.

Politicians have been cozying up to foreign dictators for decades, and Trump just took it to another level.
They’re all part of the same club, and we’re not in it. Trump sending tests to Putin while Americans couldn’t get them should tell us everything we need to know about how much our government really values us. And yet, people still buy into this idea that voting for one party or the other will change things. It’s all a charade to keep us divided and distracted while they do whatever they want behind closed doors.
They’ve got their secret phone calls, their hidden favors, and their cushy alliances. Meanwhile, the average person is struggling to pay rent and get basic healthcare. But sure, let’s keep pretending any of these people are here to serve us. The worst part is, none of them ever face any real consequences. They just keep doing whatever they want.

It’s all a game to them. They make these backdoor deals and then act like they’re just ‘protecting national interests.’ But whose interests are they really protecting? Not ours, that’s for sure.

. While Americans were scrambling to find COVID tests, Trump was busy sending them off to Putin? Of course, he was.

This whole thing reeks of backroom deals and shadow games. If Trump was sneaking tests to Putin, what else was he doing behind our backs? And we’re supposed to believe this is just one isolated incident?
Oh good gosh. Here we go with another Russiagate hoax, just in time for the next election
