Honestly, if people willingly paid to take that risk, it’s their choice—OceanGate shouldn’t be held accountable for the personal decisions of its clients. Innovation and exploration come with risks, and trying to regulate every aspect of it just stifles progress.

While pushing the boundaries of human exploration is important, companies like OceanGate have a responsibility to prioritize safety over profit. Ignoring warnings in the name of innovation just ends up putting lives at unnecessary risk.

People should be free to take risks if they choose—government overreach in regulating innovation just stifles progress.

This tragedy is a perfect example of how reckless capitalism prioritizes profit over safety and the well-being of people and the planet.
