While I get that people want better wages and working conditions, unionizing election workers isn't the answer. It introduces unnecessary politics into a process that’s supposed to be neutral and fair. The election board has a point—election workers need to remain nonpartisan, and unions can muddy that water. Plus, public sector jobs already come with taxpayer-funded benefits that private workers don't get. We need to focus on maintaining the integrity of the election process, not adding more bureaucracy.

It's pretty telling that the people responsible for upholding democracy are being denied their own right to fair wages and union representation!

Good for those election workers for standing up for fair pay and better working conditions! The Board needs to stop hiding behind weak excuses and let them unionize like any other public workers.

Government employees shouldn't need a union because they already have too much power and taxpayers end up footing the bill for higher wages and benefits.

It’s important that election workers get fair wages and good working conditions, but I can also understand the concern about keeping politics out of the process.
