Due to the massive amount of interest the govt is paying on debt. Has nothing to do with the economy, but rather govt spending.

Hmmm ... Either Elizabeth thinks we're already in a recession or perhaps she thinks asking for 75 would make a 50 seem less political. I think 25 would probably be the more bullish intermediate/longer term.

All her money are invested in TIAA-CREF.
