Former President Donald Trump is already underwater by double digits with female voters in the polls.
Now Trump will stand on stage next to a woman he has publicly and privately derided in language widely viewed as sexist. His allies hope he doesn’t make things worse when he squares off against Vice President Kamala Harris at the debate.
“His allies hope he doesn’t make things worse. In past debates against HILLARY CLINTON, Trump tried to undermine, belittle or humiliate both her and female debate moderators. This time, his advisers have pushed him to focus on Harris’ record and try not to let her get under his skin.”
Trump’s performance with female voters is “the weak spot in his campaign right now,” said former Trump campaign adviser David Urban. “I think he can attack her policies without attacking her. And that’s the kind of needle he has to thread. You can attack the vice president of the United States for her failed policies without attacking the woman.”

Except he won white women in 2016 and 2020 and is on track to win them in 2024.
@GleefulVoterIDGreen2yrs2Y
Barely and almost all of the white women who vote for him are older-middle aged and elderly married suburban and rural white women whose husbands rule their lives and tell them who to vote for. Or they worship him because he's nasty, misogynist, and abusive, just like their husband and father, which is why they have no self-worth and want women who do have self-worth and lives outside of worshiping men to be punished for not having sad limited lives of servitude like they do.
@DrearyGeckoRepublican2yrs2Y
Well, that explains why the proportion of women supporting Trump keeps going up. Because no one's out there trying to convince those white women that there's a better choice. Instead, they're being treated as subservient victims who are incapable of standing up to males. So, with that misogynistic attitude toward conservative white women, there is no one to convince them otherwise, their numbers keep growing.
Maybe instead of insulting people who disagree with you, you should treat them as fully-formed humans, put on your big girl pants and try to actually convince them.
Wrong
"The gender gap in the 2020 election was narrower than it had been in 2016, both because of gains that Biden made among men and because of gains Trump made among women. In 2020, men were almost evenly divided between Trump and Biden, unlike in 2016 when Trump won men by 11 points. Trump won a slightly larger share of women’s votes in 2020 than in 2016 (44% vs. 39%), while Biden’s share among women was nearly identical to Clinton’s (55% vs. 54%)."

No, I'm wright. I said *white* women, not all women.
Trump won white women in 2016 by 47% to 45%, and white women loved Trump SO MUCH, including his stripping women of their guaranteed right to choose, that his margins increased to 53% to 46%.
I'm a white woman and I'm voting for Kamala and Tim. Every white woman I know is also going to vote for them. I can't imagine any woman with any sense of self-esteem would vote for such a reprehensible person as trump**. He's a stone-cold misogynist as is the nitwit he has campaigning alongside him.
@RelishBertieGreen2yrs2Y
Every woman I know loathes the felonious, delusional sex pest. He belongs in prison, not the Oval Office.
@GranolaEliSocialist2yrs2Y
I never agree with Liz Cheney's political stances, but as she said, Trump and Vance truly are a pair of "misogynistic pigs." Muddled last minute statements about IVF are not at all likely to offset the impact of putting politicians in charge of women's reproductive health. Thoughtful members of the newly minted second class and those who love them will not be voting for the two "beasties boys."
@PloverJuliaDemocrat2yrs2Y
His idea of "child care" is an immigrant wife, a nanny, a cook, a maid, and a chauffeur (just for DonOLD, lol, and a nanny for the actual child).
@ElectoralLeoRepublican2yrs2Y
NYT has Trump +14 with men and Kamala +14 with women.
Funny how the media narrative is only "TRUMP HAS A WOMAN VOTER PROBLEM!" but never "Kamala has a man voter problem"
