Putin knows very well that Harris will accelerate the crumbling of the US Empire, which is what he wants exactly done, while Trump will do the opposite. Helping your enemy to destroy themselves is a good strategy and Putin is a great strategist.

He didn't go far enough! He should have said that:

"Biden asked him to support Harris any way he can."

That would have given Trump loads of talking points for the debate and sunk Harris.
