In a significant development amidst the escalating Middle East crisis, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accepted a cease-fire proposal, as confirmed by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
This decision marks a crucial turning point in the conflict that has ravaged the region for days.
The cease-fire, brokered by Egypt, is set to take effect at 2:00 AM local time on Friday. It comes after intense diplomatic efforts by the international community, particularly the United States, to de-escalate the violence.
The cease-fire proposal includes a provision for Egypt to mediate indirect talks between Israel and Hamas.
This could pave the way for a more permanent resolution to the underlying issues that have fueled the conflict for decades.

And has Hamas?
@FabulousUrchinDemocrat2yrs2Y
Not yet. It appears more likely than not though.

If you believe that Iran has accepted this deal then I have ocean front property in Arizona for sale.
HUGE Win for Biden /Harris Administration
I mean. What are the odds.
Your DNC is surrounded by protestors and then this announcement happens?
A little tooo on the nose
What are you even implying?
What hes implying is immeasurably delusional because A. Theyve reached the point where one of the two sides agreed to their own deal before and B. Netayahu very obviously likes trump alot better than harris or biden and would want nothing more than to help trump be back

NYT: Blinken says Netanyahu accepts U.S. ceasefire proposal (and Netanyahu confirms).
DNC protesters + uncommitted delegates tonight: Actually, we don’t want a ceasefire NOW. We reject the U.S. plan & are holding out for terms more favorable to Hamas.
@J0intResolLynxVeteran2yrs2Y
To absolutely no-one's surprise, Netanyahu accepts a ceasefire deal that reneges on UNSC 2728 and adds a whole pile of new conditions to the US's deal of 31st May, which Netanyahu knows perfectly well Hamas won't accept. He is scuttling the deal while setting things up to blame Hamas.
