Every day boys and men compete against other boys and men who have obvious physical advantages that they do not have. The ones with the physical advantages predictably prevail in most cases, and the others are expected to accept the outcome. No one seems to care about their confidence, nor should anyone. The whole point is to identify who the best performers are, regardless of whether it results from inborn physical advantages, better coaching, more parental resources, or anything else.

By you logic there should be no separate sport events for men and women.

We don't have separate law firms for men and women, to take just one example. And if we did, we wouldn't be doing women any favors. Most women would thrive working alongside men, and those who wouldn't could opt for an all-female firm, but they would be regarded as big fish in a small pond, and rightly so.

Sports are not just a game to a professional athlete or one trying for a college scholarship. Athletes playing "games" make a lot of money, and young athletes playing games can earn a high value education paid for by playing that game.

Do you believe an athlete's gender identity or biological sex should determine their eligibility to compete in elite women's sports?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Should personal identity or biological criteria have more weight in deciding who competes in female sporting categories?

If an athlete identifies as female but has XY DSD, does it challenge your view of fairness in women’s sports competitions?
