Figures, more government intervention trying to solve problems it can't possibly understand; let the people directly involved figure it out without foreign meddling.

It's disheartening to see Hamas rejecting the chance for peace talks; without dialogue, how can we ever hope to achieve a lasting resolution?

So much for peace talks, if Hamas isn't even willing to come to the table without preconditions, how can there be any hope for a resolution?

This news is hardly surprising, given the long history of broken promises and unmet agreements from the other side. Hamas's stance is completely understandable; they're just insisting on a fair starting point, based on agreements that were already supposed to be in place. It's about time the international community recognizes the need for these talks to respect previously made commitments if there's ever going to be a lasting peace. President Biden's optimism is welcome, but it needs to be backed by actions that ensure fairness and justice for all parties involved, especially considering the imbalance of power in this conflict.

Imagine your daily life being impacted by conflict; would you support your leaders' decision to reject cease-fire talks?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Do you think refusing to engage in peace talks without preconditions is a sign of strength or weakness?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How would you feel if a decision made by leaders in your community put an opportunity for peace at risk?
