It doesn’t matter. Being “for a Palestinian state” right now in Israel is political suicide. This is all for optics and domestic consumption. Contrary to Americas belief, a two state solution has to be hard brokered from the outside with clear involvement from someone like Trump

Very kind of them to affirm that they don't believe in an independent Palestinian statehood and removing any ambiguity as to whether Palestinians are second class citizens under Israeli sovereignty.

This is as official of a declaration of political apartheid as you can get.

Only 68 out of the 120 members voted for the resolution. Sentiment will rapidly change once there's a partner for peace, just like when Anwar Sadat visited the Knesset shortly after a deadly war.

Can the safety concerns of one nation justify the denial of a statehood request by another group?

Do you think it's fair for a country to decide whether another group of people can establish their own state?
