I will own this if I’m wrong but I just can’t imagine people are really going to split their ticket between Trump and a Dem senator. I think they may have really low enthusiasm for Biden, but I believe he’s going to win.

You gotta realize if 2 out of every 100 voters split their ticket that is 4% of the vote. The question isn't if Biden will win or not, but rather can he reach 220 electoral votes? At this point it is trending towards Washington and New York even being in play, Biden realistically could not hit 200. The democrat party is fractured and discussing doing the most undemocratic thing and replace an already democratically elected democratic nominee with someone of their choosing due to fears he will lose due to his age. Biden was already not faring the best due to his poor handling of foreign affairs and the economy, and now between the debate performance and the assassination attempt it is looking very very bleak for Biden.

History shows — unequivocally — that you have it 100% backwards. You’re right that this many people won’t split their ticket, but it moves the other way. Senators don’t carry underwater presidents, they get sunk by them. That’s why there’s a freakout happening downballot.

It’s about the enthusiasm gap and low turnout of sporadic voters, not ticket splitting. The top of the ticket drives turnout and it’s weak, turnout dips … hard. Fear of Trump will help, but it’s risky to rely on it. Pollsters model turnout based on past elections, not future.

Some % will split their ticket, some will vote R down ballot, some just won't vote for lack of enthusiasm, and some will switch to Biden. Not exactly reassuring.

The radical left is the most delusional arm of the Democrats. Their delusional ideology is the culprit that will destroy the Democratic Party. Some Dems are awaking from the nightmare of this ideology and feel scared.

I cannot think of a more pathetic and dangerous quad than Biden, Harris, AOC and Sanders. Everyone grab your freedoms and wallets before they fully take both of them from you.

Just gotta do another Nancy Pelosi appreciation post.

This woman spent her whole life brawling to become Speaker. And then what did she do? Stepped aside and passed the torch.

Now she's pulling out the boxing gloves again to try to save this Party from itself. Go, Nancy, go!

When you’re a kid, you identify with AOC. When you become an adult, you realize Pelosi makes more sense.

Why are the progressives now pro-Biden? First of all, most are substantive idiots who would like to dismantle the United States, and he is helping. But really - as a group, they know that Biden has cowered and folded like a fan when they have threatened, and who else will do that? They know a patsy they can bully when they see one.

Russia, China, Iran, etc. agree. Biden has cowered and folded like a fan when they have threatened, and who else will do that? They know a patsy they can bully when they see one.

Notice that Elizabeth Warren has also not called for Biden to step aside. He installed her staffers all over government, who knows what Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsom or whoever would do.

 @FlamingoBertAmerican Solidarityfrom Ohio  commented…2yrs2Y

I was thinking about that too as general for progressive, they maybe thinking that if Biden step aside then donor class in Democratic party may pick someone who is even more moderate than Biden and maybe will not work with progressive like Biden.

Any option is better than Trump. While Biden probably had better presidential debates, he is still the better option, and people need to have more faith in him. I believe he's going to win.

Hedging your bets? Sure you are. Thanks for riding along for as long as it benefitted you. Curry favor with the former guy now because it's easy.

Biden is moving to the far left in order to satisfy his party in order to try and win in 2024 at the cost of uniting America

Should a president focus more on what's popular within their party or what they personally believe is best for the country, even if it's controversial?

How important is it for politicians to keep their promises, especially when those promises are about big changes like capping rent or eliminating medical debt?
