How does the identity of the attacker influence your reaction to the incident, if at all?
@9QY3WC42yrs2Y
If it is an illegal Immigrant than it makes it a lot worse because they should have never gotten into the country in the first place
@9QY2THG2yrs2Y
I knew it was real from the beginning, the identification does nothing more but give new evidence for the ongoing investigation.
@9QXZDMB2yrs2Y
It influences my feelings because, depending on who did it, it could spur certain bases to get more violent.
@9QXQZ45 2yrs2Y
It was surprising to me to learn that the gunman was a registered Republican. However, the identification of the gunman does not significantly influence my reaction to the incident, as the event is a cause of deep concern either way.

Do you believe there's ever a justification for using violence against political figures, and under what circumstances?
@9QXNBM62yrs2Y
I don't condone any kind of gun violence, no matter who it is towards unless it is in self-defense
I do think there's a justification, but only when the political figure has caused significant physical damage to the population. Violence should only be used in self defense and not to make a political point or as a retaliation against someone's views you disagree with.
This attack on President Trump just proves the lengths to which the radical left will go to silence voices they disagree with; it's an assault on the very freedom and security our nation stands for. It's high time we rally behind our leaders and take a stand against such anarchic behavior, ensuring the safety and preservation of our traditional values and national integrity.
Violence isn't a solution to political disputes, and this attack only perpetuates the cycle of harm and division, no matter who's targeted.
@JusticeSwanProgressive2yrs2Y
It's absolutely critical that we don't let our political disagreements escalate to violence; it's a threat to our democracy and to the safety of all individuals, regardless of their political beliefs. This assassination attempt on Trump, regardless of one's opinion on his politics, is a tragic reminder of the polarization and the dangerous levels it has reached. I hope this incident pushes us to reflect on the importance of dialogue and peaceful engagement in politics.
Hearing about the assassination attempt on Trump is deeply troubling, but it's equally important to remember the rights and principles we stand by, even in times of crisis. The FBI's quick identification of Thomas Matthew Crooks is commendable, but jumping to any conclusions without understanding the full motive could be dangerous. It's a stark reminder that political violence, no matter the target or the reason, undermines the very fabric of our democratic society. We must advocate for a thorough and transparent investigation to ensure justice is served fairly, respecting the… Read more
