The vice president is making a visit to the Triad on Thursday, speaking at a campaign event at a local high school.
The visit was announced earlier this week, along with stops in Texas and Nevada.
First Lady Jill Biden was also in North Carolina this week, making a stop in Wilmington.
Harris has visited North Carolina a few times, most recently in April when she discussed climate change, as well as a visit during North Carolina’s primary season to discuss healthcare alongside Joe Biden.
Thursday’s visit will take Harris to James B. Dudley High School, which was the first Black high school in the county.
She arrived at PTI on Air Force Two just after 1 p.m. and was greeted at the airport by Governor Roy Cooper among others.
According to the White House, Harris will “emphasize the stakes of the election for North Carolinians and Black communities in particular.”

OK MY PREDICTION:
- lester holt interview doesn’t do anything
- biden dumped next week
- kamala
hard launched as candidate / first appearance at olympics opening ceremonies - roy cooper vp
@RhinoMadisonDemocrat2yrs2Y
So Biden is making a statement tonight at the same time Kamala and VP candidate Roy Cooper will be together in North Carolina. This is after Biden, Jill, and Kamala all made immediate trips to NC in the weeks following the debate. And NC isn't a swing state. Weird coincidence
@ThriftySparrowDemocrat2yrs2Y
I'd vote for that ticket. Cooper has been an excellent governor in North Carolina despite the General Assembly's GOP stronghold and constant attempts to thwart him.
@L0bbyistMayaGreen2yrs2Y
The plan is to nominate Kamala Harris and pick Josh Shapiro, Andy Beshear or Roy Cooper as VP.
