I think there is 20 times as many empty homes as homeless people, and that homes already vacant should be prioritized

For the most part yes but allow citizens to retain control of the markets, as this directly impacts a republic

 @B3FL3YL from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

Yes, however, there should be more schools built to compensate for any influx of families living in the district.

 @B376YPT from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

I would say yes but they could also add any restrictions or rules that they want and then it wouldn't be your dream home to build anymore.

 @B2VBHV7 from North Carolina  answered…3mos3MO

maybe not fully at a federal level but there should be some in communities for low income individuals

 @9X5SZKG from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

they shouldn't fund of more and more new housing, but they should put that money towards things like schools

 @9WTRQBK from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

Yes as long as they incentivize the building of houses and not appartments or appartment style buildings.

 @9WQG7QK from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

I believe the government should create a market in which people can afford reasonable housing depending on their income, but I don't believe the government should (generally) incentivize "affordable housing" or subsidize certain development companies.

 @9WPV3W2 from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, with sufficient tax advantages for, specifically, safe and environmentally sound construction that affordable-home credits become a coveted commodity.

 @9W9Q47R  from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, but more like their has to be starter homes created for younger generations to get into homes but jot subsidized by the government. You could get a tax deduction if you follow those rules

 @9V46SRB from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

I think they should just make housing affordable, instead of throwing more money at the problem just lower housing costs.

 @9TLN23W from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

If private companies have a blind bid to win these contracts, it would be more acceptable. However, with our nations corruption history no bid would ever be blind.

 @9SYGXZ7 from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

I think that people should be trying to work to get money, if they're not we shouldn't be having raised taxes because of people that don't want to work.

 @9STH8L4Independent  from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, but only when it is necessary. Some areas already have too many houses available. So we should make it so that the housing market is lowered.

 @9XNLQHS from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

Yes. But only affordable for people who still work hard for it. Where people can work a full time job and not live paycheck to paycheck

 @9X34V2V from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

Government subsides should be provided for neighborhoods that require help for development and revitalization.

 @9TN9SFB from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, they should regulate house pricing and implement laws the prevent or slow another housing crisis or housing bubble to happen. With states with each state having personal needed for housing meet for weather, location, and risk of other statewide phenomena with in reason.
