In Portland, Oregon 314 Action Fund, which describes itself as helping to elect “Democrats with a background in science to public office,” is throwing its weight behind Maxine Dexter, a state representative and local doctor.
By waiting until April to launch its spending blitz, 314 Action is able to delay disclosure of its donors until May 20.
Susheela Jayapal, the sister of Rep. Pramila Jayapal, was considered the candidate to beat before the sudden influx of money last month.
The Intercept reported that Susheela Jayapal is being targeted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, which is secretly funneling money into the race by washing it through 314 Action.
In Kentucky the AIPAC-affiliated United Democracy Project is set to begin running television ads today opposing Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), a House Republican who has consistently voted since Oct. 7 against bills and resolutions to support Israel, combat antisemitism and counter Iran and its terrorist proxies.
UDP spokesperson Patrick Dorton said the group is “not playing [around]” in Massie’s May 21 primary election, where he faces no serious primary opposition. The group is making an initial buy of $300,000 in TV air time on all Fox affiliate channels in Kentucky.
“We are shining a spotlight on Tom Massie’s atrocious anti-Israel record,” Dorton said. “We are going to make sure every voter in the state of Kentucky knows how bad Tom Massie is on Israel.”

Our elected officials swore an oath to OUR constitution, not the interests of other countries. The US should not go abroad looking for monsters to slay.
This should be illegal.
How is this type of system in the best interest of the people?
@DeficitJuliaLibertarian4mos4MO
Best Government money can buy.
Too bad for them. Kentucky already knows how good Thomas Massie is for America.
@VoterIDTacosLibertarian4mos4MO
I'd like to move from the NE, hopefully before elections (& before the WHO's Pandemic Treaty, signed this week, is enforced). What area of KY do you recommend (or where should I avoid)? Massie is the first politician I've seen to totally buck the trend. I like Rand (both), too.
@DejectedGeldingForward4mos4MO
Wby is AIPAC a foreign agent but doesnt have to register, why is that?
@AmusedPopulistGreen4mos4MO
That’s what student were protesting against until all the frat boys came and stopped them
@PartisanPolarStorkVeteran4mos4MO
Get AIPAC out of America.
#BanAIPAC
Ask JFK what happened last time he tried to register them as a foreign agent. Oh wait..
@PartisanPolarStorkVeteran4mos4MO
More of us are awake now.
@Freedom764mos4MO
The uni-party is targeting Massie. What a surprise.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
@ExactingCaviarSocialist4mos4MO
AIPAC is going to rebrand as the “Happy Peoples Club”. And they will have 100 of these various new organizations, so we can’t track large single PAC donations from Israel.
@SenateSeatDaveTranshumanist4mos4MO
Gross. The outside big $ interests trying to buy this race are anti-democratic.
Susheela Jayapal & Eddy Morales held a news conference last week draw attention to this.
Do your research, Portland voters! Only one candidate is benefiting from this, and it's not either of the above.

The US is controlled by Israel?
Yeah, we’ve noticed
Citizen united, this was the plan all alone.
This is the supreme courts government and you didn’t even vote them in.
@PorpoiseVictoriaLibertarian4mos4MO
So, some foreign influence in our elections is ok depending on the country, huh??
Strange rules.
@GrumpyL3ftLeaningPatriot4mos4MO
Its as clear as day... Speaker Johnson has been bought, and like McCarthy, he sold us out.
