Hate speech is legal. Threatening Jewish students, vandalism and trespassing aren't legal.

 @Int3grityClamTranshumanist from New York  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Threatening is narrowly defined in US 1st amendment law. Calling for the genocide of someone's ethnicity is not illegal if it is not specific or immediately actionable.

You're misunderstanding him, the "hate speech" is just telling Israel that they can't just kill whoever they want whenever they want. That's antisemitic.

ANOTHER Republican governor and “free speech warrior” absolutely beclowning themselves.

Liberty-loving conservatives say free speech doesn't include "hate speech," and that political speech that veers into racism must be banned, without having the slightest clue how identical they are to the liberals they claim to loathe.

The exact argument they have condemned the left for saying for how long? The question they need to then answer is “what is hate speech” because they will use circular logic.

In America, it's legal to protest America but you will be arrested for protesting Israel

You can boycott America but in 30 states it's illegal to boycott Israel

Multiple states have made antisemitism illegal

well...a peaceful protest should not include spitting on Jewish students, blocking their path on their way to class, verbally (or worse) threatening them -- I do not see you oppose this -- what does that make you?

 @VultureHarryGreenfrom Montana  commented…2yrs2Y

So Republicans are anti-protest and pro-censorship of offensive (critical of Israel) political rhetoric? What a bunch of sellouts.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How does the statement 'We stand with Israel. They’re our greatest ally in the Middle East.' influence your thoughts on the balance between free speech and political alliances?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Should universities and schools have the authority to expel students based on their political protests or opinions?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Is it right for government officials to use their power to silence protests or opinions they disagree with?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Do you believe there should be limits on what topics can be protested about, and if so, what should those limits be?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How do you feel about defining protests and the expression of political opinions as 'hate speech'?
