Anything that brings food and medicine in is good but look at this as a big picture: Biden is both supporting the siege of Gaza (with $$, weapons & diplomatic protection) and also trying to break the siege of Gaza. This makes no sense.

 @RelievedPlatypusDemocrat from Illinois  disagreed…2yrs2Y

He is trying to help Israel defeat Hamas, which is good, and is trying to limit the amount of suffering the Gazan population has to go through in the process, which is also good. What doesn't make sense?

 @TwoPartyBillTranshumanist from North Carolina  disagreed…2yrs2Y

By "defeat Hamas" do you mean "ethnically cleanse the Gaza strip, killing doctors, journalists, and children"? Look at it that way and you might understand what Jeet is getting at.

The Biden Administration is between a rock and a hard place when it comes to the Israel/Palestinian conflict. Helping the Palestinian civilians while pressuring Israel to a cease fire is making the best of a bad situation.

 @W3lfareAlfieAmerican Solidarity from Minnesota  commented…2yrs2Y

In other words, Biden is launching some sort of US naval intervention into the Israel-controlled territory of Gaza?

 @SpecialInterestGeldingRepublican from South Carolina  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Building a port takes time, you know. During this time, there is no interruption of warfare and bombing. If you think that there is no need to build a port and help the poor Palestinians, you are a radical right-winger.

 @WingedParrotDemocrat from Texas  disagreed…2yrs2Y

He's not trying to break it. He is trying to extend it by supporting the civilian population with necessary aid.

 @CharismaticMackerelGreen from New Jersey  agreed…2yrs2Y

Building a port instead of clearing out the bouncy-castle rave blockade of aid makes no sense

Seems like they are purposefully embracing a solution that will take a lot of time, so they can claim to be doing something while aid continues to not get in

What happens when supply raiders go after the pier? Are we prepared to start shooting?

 @LivelyOctopusTranshumanist from Pennsylvania  disagreed…2yrs2Y

I dont think Isreal is dumb enough to shoot US personnel, but they could surprise us

 @Centr1stMonkeyGreen from Pennsylvania  commented…2yrs2Y

1. It’s a humiliating/outrageous admission: US simply can’t get Israel to open land routes

2. It’s going to take 30-60 days to build — but people are already starving

3. Israel will still inspect goods — a key holdup for trucks

 @ThrillingSquirrelDemocrat from Ohio  disagreed…2yrs2Y

It's not a humiliating outrageous admission. The issue is not the land routes being open. The issue is that the US has ships in the Mediterranean sea, but they do not have fleets of trucks in Egypt or in Israel. The logistics of trucking aid into Gaza are complicated because Hamas and other gangs are looting the trucks before they can distribute the aid to people, so the trucks have to move under armed guard.

 @Centr1stMonkeyGreen from Pennsylvania  disagreed…2yrs2Y

lol bring Hamas back into it . Like Hamas would really make their people starve . That’s the narrative you bought into . The real people of this world don’t buy that bs

 @ThrillingSquirrelDemocrat from Ohio  disagreed…2yrs2Y

When has Hamas ever given a **** about the well-being of civilians? There is no individual in Gaza who is worth more alive than as a martyr. It’s a death cult.

 @Centr1stMonkeyGreen from Pennsylvania  disagreed…2yrs2Y

If anyone is running a death cult it’s the zio nist demons . The facts speak for them selves. You occupy someone land you gonna face the consequences. It’s only a matter of time and the I s real project will be disbanded

 @TautUnityGreen from Iowa  commented…2yrs2Y

The Palestinians dont need a floating pier.

They need Biden to end the war.

 @CockyTheRightRepublicanfrom Washington  commented…2yrs2Y

How would Joe Biden end the war?

 @TautUnityGreen from Iowa  disagreed…2yrs2Y

He could threaten to take away all funding and aid and even threaten to impose sanctions on the country as a whole. He could instruct the state department to vote for a UNSC ceasefire instead of against and then use the military to enforce it with China + Europe.

 @LobbyistEvaSocialist from New York  agreed…2yrs2Y

the most powerful man head of the most powerful nation on the planet is unable to end a genocide started by one of its vassal states.

  @Patriot-#1776Constitution from Washington  commented…2yrs2Y

I dare any leftist on here to show me where in the Constitution this is authorised.

 @IntrepidRhinoLibertarianfrom Michigan  commented…2yrs2Y

Will he deduct the cost from Washington's $3.8 billion in military aid to Israel?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

Is it morally acceptable to go against a close ally's wishes in order to provide humanitarian aid to a region in need?
