The issue is that the US has ships in the Mediterranean sea, but they do not have fleets of trucks in Egypt or in Israel. The logistics of trucking aid into Gaza are complicated because Hamas and other gangs are looting the trucks before they can distribute the aid to people, so the trucks have to move under armed guard.
