Remember that McConell would also disappear if there were those tests, I’m saying no to them out of a sheer lack of trust in mental competency tests as a reliable method of determining eligibility.

Slow down, I hate McConnell too, because he agrees to keep spending money we don't have and is a fascist warmongering neocon who supports endless money for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. I believe that it would be great for this country if he disappeared and some true conservative replaced him.

I’m actually just left, not really authoritarian or libertarian. On personal rights, I’m glad to provide, on rights for corporations or big companies, I tend to be restrictive, along with in government. If I had the power, I’d publicly find elections, force politicians to publish all personal documents deemed to be safe to publish, ban money lobbying, switch to a ranked voting system, and make the electoral college disappear. Those types of measures would be a good start to ridding corruption from congress, and that’s where most of the power is held.
