Places with high crime rates and good percentages in their sucess in preventing and catching criminals and crimes, should be given more funding, while those areas with low crime and poor percentages at catching crime should be reviewed and either have changes made to who is on the police force, and the amount of funding they recieve (based on if they need more tto be more successful or if they don't need more because they don't need more money due to low crimerates and such). Police abusing power should be punished severly and those who have abused their power should be removed from the police force immediately.

Trump is also considering Sen. Joni Ernst (R., Iowa) for the job, some of the people said.DeSantis was once seen as an acolyte of Trump but his decision to challenge the former president in the 2024 GOP primary began a conflict between them, with Trump casting DeSantis as disloyal. Trump easily prevailed in the primary and friends of the two have worked to repair the relationship.
