Yes, but spending that money on the future of transportation, so that mean no roads (only maintaining them) but high speed rail, upgrading passenger rail, airports (upgrading or maintain), and invest in green energy. Also Privatize Amtrak and other once successful transportation companies because they have much better success than government run programs (Airline Deregulation of 1978 or the Privatization of British Rail as an example).

Amtrak costs about as much as flying. If we privatize all public transportation, the cost will go up, and the companies will value profit more than moving people safely and frequently.
