Y'all can yell at me over this, or present a very logical argument, which I doubt is possible, but you won't change my mind.

#6 Expert Gender Transition

Here's the logical argument:

For many people the choice is transition or suicide. Which is better?

I know you don't care but that's the way it is.

Yes with parents permission and medical and mental health professionals are following best practices.

Yes. The trans kid knows them self better than their parents do and know what they do or don’t need to be happy in their body.

 @WaiveWill from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but only with the consent of the parents and a qualified doctor. Personal beliefs should not be imposed on others.

 @9GPLSG9 from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only in the form of gender-affirming therapy after they turn 14, rather than any hormonal or surgical changes that can be made after they turn 18

 @8S4DWVX from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Above the age of 16 yes because children can change their minds on such critical decisions.

Yes, but only after a high amount of medical scrutiny to ensure transition is the absolute best option.

No, children should not be allowed to make irreversible life decisions

I could see some exceptions to this if the child has actual chromosome combinations that make them intersex. There are probably other special case scenarios as well. My wife knows someone who would fit into this category and had hormones at an early age. Otherwise, a child is not fit to make or request these things regardless of the parents permission. At age 18, be my guest. I personally think 18 would even be too young to make such a major decision, but that is legal age of an adult. In any case, support and care should be made available for a chil that wants to change gender, regardless of the parents permission.
