We should leave that up to the social media companies themselves to decide on the individual level.

No, and all political parties should be allowed to advertise despite the social media company owners bias.

They parties in question should submit their campaign material to an unbiased multi-member committee of socio-political professionals for approval before they can put something in their campaign, as well as post anything to social media, to prevent the spread of false information and obtaining votes via fearmongering, hate speech, and such.

No. Social media companies are private companies and have the right to have whatever they want on their platform.

No, there’s already enough advertising without social media. Besides, people can take their own initiative to see which representatives stand for what cause.

That fundamentally should be choice for companies to decide. I don't like political advertising, but it is the companies and their reputations which should be where we are most concerned.

 @8HHB3LY from California  answered…5yrs5Y

No but fact-checking should be implemented and enforced universally, and the heads of social media companies should be held accountable for the spread of disinformation on their platforms

I’d be okay with severe limits on all political advertising and penalties for advertising that contains blatant falsehoods.

This is not something that politics should impose one way or the other.
