No enforce a pyramid like department where only a few have access to many things and the lower your job is the less you have access to.

 @B32DRCH from Illinois  answered…3mos3MO

No, but there should be stronger regulation on cryptocurrency, hate speech, false information, AI usage, and the extent of advertising/additional fees.

 @9WTDMT3  from Illinois  answered…7mos7MO

No but they should heavily incetivize union based corporations and add a wealth cap for the ceos of the companies

 @99HY2LYIndependent  from Illinois  answered…7mos7MO

Each company should be evaluated for anti-competitive practices and monopoly power over certain markets should be reduced.

 @9V3NGJJLibertarian from Illinois  answered…8mos8MO

No, the government should quit subsidizing them and begin collecting a Value Added Tax on their gross profits.

 @9T8N7V9 from Illinois  answered…8mos8MO

I think they should be more heavily taxed and monitored but not broken up cause that would majorly affect the economy

 @9SNLLNR from Illinois  answered…9mos9MO

If we encourage free markets and entrepreneurship then these businesses have every right to do what they do, unless they do unconstitutional things and work with the government to censor. The government may need to police whether these companies are operating constitutionally.

 @9SMR4SBRepublican from Illinois  answered…9mos9MO

I believe the government should be able to break up any monopoly that undeniably strangles competition, which is the hallmark of free market capitalism.

 @9SKXMP9 from Illinois  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, and they should go after other vertical monopolies like PepsiCo, CocaCola, Microsoft, among others.

 @9S42FBF from Illinois  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, when a corporation gets large enough to exercise its own form of political power it should be broken up.

  @WildManBagginzIndependent  from Illinois  answered…10mos10MO

No, but stricter regulations and oversight should be implemented to address concerns about market power and consumer protection while allowing the companies to continue innovating and contributing to the economy.

 @9M8T7X3 from Illinois  answered…1yr1Y

A large portion of profits from all three major names can be given back to the people who need it most, maybe in the form of healthcare or food stamps or living wages for school teachers

 @9KZ6P4Z from Illinois  answered…1yr1Y

No but they should make large corporations treat workers fairly and always be on the side of workers over large corporations

 @9JQP22Y from Illinois  answered…1yr1Y

Scaling could definitely lead to more significant breakthrough innovations. However, these magnets might also face inertia when they dominated the market. Implementing some mandates on R&D spending could be helpful.

 @coryreidDemocrat  from Illinois  answered…2yrs2Y

Legislation that prevents the impact of these corporations will be more valuable than breaking up any individual entity. They are too big and too powerful, but laws should approach the holistic issue rather than focusing on specific groups/companies.

 @9DJY8ZR from Illinois  answered…2yrs2Y

Government intervention would be wise to balance their influence in consumer’s lives.

 @8WZCSP8Constitution from Illinois  answered…4yrs4Y

 @95MSGW7 from Illinois  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, particularly Amazon, which is becoming too powerful and is beginning to make changes which may have significant negative impacts in the future. Google should also be broken up due to its control of over 90% of its industry, making it a near-monopoly. Disney is also a concern for the entertainment industry.

 @8ZMKSD3 from Illinois  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YYSL8X from Illinois  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8TKHD7N from Illinois  answered…4yrs4Y

No, such companies, due to being on the Internet, have become monopolies due to out competing opposition.

 @8TBY6T4 from Illinois  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8RVHZPF from Illinois  answered…4yrs4Y

YES! what happened to the monopoly case of microsoft? That was a big deal when they were shown to begin to push out any competing entity. There should have been policy in place after this case to not allow for larger companies to buy up and become huge entities that control the market and government with the money they donate to "entice" and lobby for their own best interests.

 @8QDLJZGPatriotic Peoples from Illinois  answered…4yrs4Y

I think if a corporation discriminates in any manner they shouldn't be allowed to operate. It should have a unbiased stand point. If that happens then I think consequences should be in place. No matter what it is there should be a fair and just way or you face punishment

Not currently, but it's not off the table if they get too monopolistic.

 @8M5F22TDemocrat from Illinois  answered…5yrs5Y

The govt. should tax each of these companies so that they are not grossly rich. They should not necessarily break them up but should investigate some concerns that are being raised, such as; privacy, influence on the youth, political influence, etc.
