Yes, but for students who deserve it based on their merit, leadership skills, community service, low income, and other factors.

 @9W8V8PH from California  answered…7mos7MO

No, but schools should be required to lower the overall cost of tuition by a large margin and lower the interest rates on student loans.

 @9VSPTPX from California  answered…8mos8MO

Some people don't have the money to pay for a college tuition so if they are above a 4.5 gpa yes the government should pay for your tuition.

 @9V47WFZ from California  answered…8mos8MO

The entire educational system is based on outdated models and numbers, and needs to be redone.

Basically: If you increase demand and not supply, you increase cost.

Sending more people to college, without increasing the supply of students that can enroll, does not work.

The idea that "more people need to go to college" is wrong.

The entire high-end schooling system needs reworking.

 @9SKVPMG from California  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, but only if they come from a family that is dirt poor but the child has a chance to change that for themselves and their family.

 @9L27MK3 from California  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but only if the student maintains a 3.0 gpa and higher. I say that because that means they are learning and trying to reach for better grades and instead of doing the bare minimum and still get free education

 @9KZYQWV from California  answered…1yr1Y

I think they should do a halfway sort of thing. Like have students pay for tuitions but have the government or the school pay for housing and meals.

 @8ZK9GWTDemocrat  from California  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, make public education freely available to all citizens. Cap the tuition for private schools and disallow predatory lending practices.

 @9FTCKN8 from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes but with some type of payment method you have to pay back in the future like get taxed for using it.

 @9FKWFYG from California  answered…2yrs2Y

The government should offer to pay for tuition, provided that the student graduates within a certain GPA range and completes their degree.

 @9FKSR2F from California  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9FFT5LBDemocrat from California  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9FFP6S9 from California  answered…2yrs2Y

No but provide more scholarship opportunities for MIDDLE class people who work hard but are taxed heavily.

 @9DDJV62 from California  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9BMTQYR from California  answered…2yrs2Y

tuition should not be this expensive in the first place, so lower it overall

 @9BM7GJX from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Yeah but it should be given to the students who are struggling financially .

 @99B2BHD from California  answered…2yrs2Y

 @96H9FS3 from California  answered…3yrs3Y

 @96DRTG3 from California  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only an online degree from Khan academy. The government should not provide any funding for brick and mortar colleges. The universities should provide the funding themselves.

 @967CW6ZIndependent from California  answered…3yrs3Y

 @966HDNL from California  answered…3yrs3Y

Higher education is important, but not necessary. It should be easier to get a good job without the requirement of higher education.

 @966HDL2 from California  answered…3yrs3Y

 @95TFXDQRepublican from California  answered…3yrs3Y

For all students with a 4.0 or higher no matter income level. If they work hard they earned it.

 @95RT9SC from California  answered…3yrs3Y

They should fund most of it, let the person who attended the college pay for a small portion of it that won't break the bank for them.

 @95RFYB4Socialist from California  answered…3yrs3Y

Higher education should not be for profit at all, the country would only benefit from having more freely educated persons.

 @95R2NHT from California  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but the government should enforce lower costs for college and lower interest rates for student loans.

 @95QPLTH from California  answered…3yrs3Y

yes but they should not pay for any more than 4 years because that is the basic college that most people do and if they choose to do more they should pay for it but also interest rates for student loans should be lowered

 @955SM9T from California  answered…3yrs3Y

No. Tell me why some 18 year old kid is going to have his college completely paid for when I’m working my *** of serving my country.

 @94XN6Q8 from California  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but lower the tuition and give more scholarship opportunities for all

 @93CGKFJ from California  answered…3yrs3Y

For Now the fed should pay for tuition but only till they solve the issue of massive rising inflation. Schools cost too much to attend, they're is no such thing as affordable education any more. The average cost of a degree is almost double what someone minimum wage could make in a year.

 @93BCYWM from California  answered…3yrs3Y

 @938GFK8 from California  answered…3yrs3Y

 @9388D3Q from California  answered…3yrs3Y

No, because this will cause colleges and universities to adopt standardized curriculum and they will lose their autonomy

 @925YKSZ from California  answered…3yrs3Y

The federal government need to encourage people who enrolling in 4 year colleges/universities providing low-interest rate and giving more scholarships plus the rewards that you own in past.

 @8ZVS646 from California  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but give loans with no interest! And provide more scholarship opportunities for low income students

 @8Z62KQS from California  answered…3yrs3Y

But its not that easy, I just think it should be cheaper, and instead they should be a little harder to get because of the degree inflation.

 @8Z5NB64Democrat from California  answered…3yrs3Y

If a student is willing and has a career plan that could help the economy, then yes the government should pay the tuition

 @8Z5HYM6 from California  answered…3yrs3Y

The problem is that everyone is trying to go to college, which is raising prices. Simply put, not everyone needs a college degree. It is far too entrenched in society that college is the only way to be successful.

 @8XZLL77 from California  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8XS9Q84 from California  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8XQDMH3Democrat from California  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only to those who come from a low income household and are in need of it.

 @8WGRXQ3 from California  answered…4yrs4Y

 @kifferb from California  answered…4yrs4Y

universities should have to compete in the open market with very little government subsidies.

 @8W4TRKB from California  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TB4RRT from California  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8S369C6Libertarian from California  answered…4yrs4Y

No, and cut gov't funding for all universities. Provide scholarship opportunities to those that show aptitude.

 @8S369C6Libertarian from California  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but scholarship opportunities should be given out readily to those that show aptitude towards particular subjects.

 @8RZZMMCIndependent from California  answered…4yrs4Y

in some cases the VA pays for college tuition and the military does as well in some cases so i believe this also depends on the situation

 @8R8HFZZ from California  answered…4yrs4Y

By nationalizing higher education, all government funding becomes a closed loop. If government is going to spend money to subsidize education, it should stay within government control to minimize predation.

 @8R8DSPP from California  answered…4yrs4Y

No, But it shouldn't cost thousands of dollars just to get a better education. we should regulate how these colleges charge tuition.

 @8QP74FXDemocrat from California  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QJMG6Z from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only for majors that are beneficial to the nation. Trade schools should also be funded.

 @8QCMFR7 from California  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8PDPVWL from California  answered…5yrs5Y

No, but I think they should give more assistance to middle-class students. I also think that any assistance given should be awarded to those who are US citizens.

 @8NRXCQ3 from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes but only for students that complete their schooling, but for those who stop for their own reasons should pay for the schooling they got.

 @8MLWNWJ from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Only for people being raised in the lower classes. Higher class families who make a lot of side money should pay in full.

 @8MLPMX3 from California  answered…5yrs5Y

I think that the federal government should pay for the people that need the money to go to a college.

 @8MCQCJM from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but type of school and amount of scholarship should be merit based. All students meeting minimum requirements should be afforded aid.

 @8K8ZZM7 from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, also, I think that higher education should be at a lower cost. In the past others barely had to pass high school. Now college is basically required in order to get a decent grade. So make it easier to pay for a necessity.

 @8K7HDGK from California  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8JPFVV2 from California  answered…5yrs5Y

If they paid for college then anyone would go and would waste professors and their own time because their not taking it serious.

 @8JF7RDTDemocrat from California  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8H7CZHR from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Kind of. They could use it for a lot of other things, so partially is alright.

 @8GZLL88Peace and Freedom from California  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8DV5BLZ from California  answered…5yrs5Y

I believe school reform needs to take place and the loan process needs to be fixed as well as cost reduction

 @8DNP596 from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Only for poor students who perform well in school. And eliminate existing debts.

 @8DKT4ZP from California  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8CYL36Q from California  answered…5yrs5Y

I believe tuition rates should decrease and so should student lowns, many people cannot even attend colleges due to their cost, so the cost should be decreased, or the Federal government should pay tuition.

 @8CH5LFM from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, there should be an extreme decrease to include those who can't afford and their future depends on schooling and getting a job.

 @9CJH9TJ from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Higher education is broken and need serious reform. As part of that, practical instruction in many career tracks vocational and degree programs including post grad for students who make it that far offered at no charge to citizens with a high school diploma. Private prestige schools may function as they wish with no government funding of loan programs. If we are to maintain out status in the world we need trained and educated citizens.

 @9CGFG6C from California  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but provide better financial aid for lower to middle class students.

 @9CFF6TLRepublican from California  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9CDDF3R from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, as long as the student has a high grade and is dedicated to their education.

 @9BMTXVJ from California  answered…2yrs2Y

no, but provide more scholarship opportunities and lower interest rates for student loans

 @99WBFSH from California  answered…2yrs2Y

 @8NP4WSY from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Make tuition less expensive but not fee. Provide ways for students to work off some of their tuition

 @8MSXZJW from California  answered…5yrs5Y

No, but they should lower the amount needed to go to higher education colleges

 @8GW7K9TIndependent from California  answered…5yrs5Y

No, make the already government provided public high school education valuable again.

 @8GTP2JY from California  answered…5yrs5Y

a can be they pay but in equal pays because sometime they give more to ones and the other one and not happy so a will be cool equality in this case. and another cases too.

 @8GKBY6K from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes but only for partial so the student can adjust to the college/university and see if they want to pursue it. I also agree with providing more scholarship opportunities for the low-income students because I believe everyone should have a chance.

 @8GCQBDD from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but only if they are financially eligible or their situation at home requires it.

 @8DJCJ9Z from California  answered…5yrs5Y

I think that the cost to get into college should be lowered, making it more available to those who would want to go but can't afford to pay the current prices.
