In 2016 64,070 people died in the U.S. from drug overdoses - a 21% increase from 2015. 3/4 of drug overdose deaths in the U.S. are caused by the opioid class of drugs which includes prescription painkillers, heroin and fentanyl. Yes, but only for safe rehabilitation. If the person doesn’t want to safely stop using, they shouldn’t be able to take shelter.

No because this system sympathizes with drug traffickers and their corruption on society. There should be safe havens that protect those from traffickers and drug offenders. Consider imprisoning the REAL criminals instead of babysitting their victims.

Drug abuse should be primarily a health issues criminal issue second.
Don't necessarily allow them to take drugs as they please, but allow them to be rehabilitated and take drugs IF NECESSARY.
