No, but it should require a true market to keep costs down. Require transparency so consumers can make informed decisions about cost of care.

 @9SLRH4J from Pennsylvania  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, but if we tried to transition to this it would absolutely demolish our healthcare system. It’s not set up to function that way, and practices/hospitals would close when they suddenly start receiving less reimbursement. IF this were to happen, it would need to be a slow, well planned rollout.

The system wouldn’t work in this current climate and also has to many flaws.

Yes, but the USA is far too unhealthy to successfully pay for a single payer health care system.

If every citizen is paying their dues then yes. But if not, it is unfair for people to be paying for the other citizens not.

I am undecided about this, because I do believe that insurance is expensive and medical treatment is too.

Once again, I prefer giving states the ability to develop their own systems.

 @8SGZ7XD from Pennsylvania  answered…4yrs4Y

private companies should be able to benefit off of healthcare to reinvest and support customers (in addition employees need to get paid)

Yes, but start with a public option to lower costs and expand access to healthcare in the interim.

 @8NDCPM6 from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but allow people to use private insurance. Only citizens who pay taxes have the option have access to Single Payer program. Illegals and non citizens do not.

 @8MD3FM2Natural Law from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

I support fully socialized medicine & believe most hospitals should be owned & operated by the federal government & that private clinics should be available for those with money that want specialty care beyond basic life saving care. Health insurance should be abolished. The government should be the primary provider of all health services.

 @8FRBWHN from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

The federal government should not be involved in healthcare. It should be a state and local issue. Let the states decide.

 @8D8BCHL from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

I support getting rid of big pharma and making medical care more affordable for everyone.

I don’t really understand single player healthcare but from what I know it seems like it would create a monopoly and that being said prices would likely go up because people have no choice but to pay them or lose insurance. And that doesn’t seem right, so no

 @8CQCMQK from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

yes, but make the people who make a lot of money spend more on healthcare

 @8CP6MDD from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

Same as above none of the options I have been implemented in the past 20 years have worked effectively. We need to try something new.

 @8CKTXLW from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

support if the single payer healthcare is the very best in order to eliminate the argument of a market competition making a better product.

 @8CF6ZFHGreen from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but only if the healthcare money taken isn’t outrageously priced and the healthcare provided is substantial

 @8C9VN57 from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

 @9B5CG66Republican from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

No, the government should not be involved in healthcare and this system is too expensive

 @9CZPBV8 from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, the government should abolish private insurance and control all healthcare.
