Heath-care needs to be more accessible but this would further the deficit in equal health for all Among poor and wealthy

 @9QWGPT5Peace and Freedom from Tennessee  answered…11mos11MO

If the government makes other policies that force most of Americans to be dirt poor, yes. All should then be taken care of.

 @9N36PJ8Peace and Freedom from Washington  answered…1yr1Y

I only worry that I would lose my medical freedom and the government would tell me what doctors and hospitals I had to go to for treatment. I prefer naturopathic medicine.

 @9MXV7HQPeace and Freedom from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

No health insurance should be kept private but non profit and the government should only have medicaid for cancer patients, elderly, disabled and military veterans and active (military should have a choice between va or the place they what)

 @9MHMXM3Peace and Freedom from Texas  answered…1yr1Y

Healthcare should be partially single payer but partially goverment funded to ensure they're no abusing the system but I think goverment should control the price of healthcare as its a public need for everyone making it affordable

 @9M5F6J8Women’s Equality from Wyoming  answered…1yr1Y

Maybe. Regulation of the current system is a better place to start. Private companies profiting off of healthcare is not a good system.

 @9HNNDNBPeace and Freedom from Illinois  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, though I would prefer the government provide 100% free healthcare for all citizens, as well as, increase government spending on healthcare across the board, including funding organizations like Planed Parenthood.

 @9FG4WN9Peace and Freedom from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but still allow people with special needs get the healthcare they need if they show a healthcare plan to the doctor that tells the doctor/nurse what they need.

 @9JKFRDXWomen’s Equality from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

The government should not be involved in healthcare however I do not agree with the healthcare system we have now.

 @939GT6RPeace and Freedom from New Jersey  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and we should have Medicare For All funded by reducing administrative costs by 62.5%, prescription drug prices 70%, and stopping overpricing and no funding unnecessary procedures and treatments, as well as cutting hospital costs 30%.

 @922LJP6Peace and Freedom from Kansas  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YJJ6W7Peace and Freedom from California  answered…3yrs3Y

yes, we should be able to have free medicare/ health care especially for the poor but private insurances should still be active in for those that would rather a different care.

 @8Y64BJNPeace and Freedom from New Jersey  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, It would cost 4.7 trillion dollars a year, but I would pass a regulation that cuts health and medical care costs by more than half, and then it would cost 2.35 trillion dollars, and 3 trillion dollars a year is currently spent.

 @8Y5BQZKPeace and Freedom from New Jersey  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, we we should have Medicare For All that is funded by a regulation to cut medical care and health care costs in half, socialize health insurance and then use current Medicare, Medicaid, ACA, CHIP, TRICARE, and VHA funding.

 @8Y3NMJ6Peace and Freedom from New Jersey  answered…3yrs3Y

No, we need Medicare For All which should be funded through passing a regulation that limits health care costs, socializing health insurance, and finally IHS, Medicare, Medicaid, ACA, CHIP, TRICARE, and VHA funding.

 @8WX7B9SWomen’s Equality from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

Both, this system guarantees healthcare for everyone and is too expensive at same time. So I think the single healthcare system should happen in a certain period of time.

 @8WQ4WN9Peace and Freedom from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but use money from those who are worthy of being taxed, AKA selfish rich people who hoard their money.

 @schnettlerPeace and Freedom from Arizona  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes and no. I do agree with some aspects on the single-payer healthcare system, however I do not think taxes should go up (have to re-budget), but I do not like the idea of a monopoly when it comes to healthcare. I do think that it would be fantastic that all people would have coverage and we would be healthier as a country, however it is worry-some that the government would have all of the control, they get to set the pay and what/how it covers illnesses.

 @8WL8JG6Women’s Equality from Iowa  answered…4yrs4Y

No because people have special needs that have more requirements than your basic health care.

 @8WH4CTNWomen’s Equality from Missouri  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, unless this person is living with someone or has a family of their own.

 @8WFX27QPeace and Freedom from Illinois  answered…4yrs4Y

government should pay middle class and lower class medical bills and rich can pay their own

 @8VZCHKCPeace and Freedom from Virginia  answered…4yrs4Y

No because its too expensive but yes because it guarantees healthcare for everyone so neutral

 @8VSLPZ8Peace and Freedom from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but the rich should pay more than low income families. Not every one could afford.

 @8VG4SMZPeace and Freedom from Arizona  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VG26QVPeace and Freedom from Washington  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VB5LMVWomen’s Equality from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

yes, but add systems of checks and balances to prevent the govt from over-stepping boundaries with personal health care decisions. i.e. womens health.

 @8V7V5WRWomen’s Equality from Tennessee  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TXT35DPeace and Freedom from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

This sounds like a good option but it would depend on how much each resident has to pay.

 @8TQS4FSPeace and Freedom from Michigan  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but this should be optional and allow the citizens to choose for themselves whether or not they want to be part of this system.

 @8TQKYMVWomen’s Equality from Arizona  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8STNR8MPeace and Freedom from Utah  answered…4yrs4Y

its more reliable to have two, so im not gonna say i support it, but if somebody needs it then it should be there for them

 @8S86WPCWomen’s Equality from Arkansas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8S839JJPeace and Freedom from Arizona  answered…4yrs4Y

No, you should do the universal healthcare system because it's more helpful for everyone.

 @8RXMHKFWomen’s Equality from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

We should all have free healthcare and care that provides the same and equal service to all

 @8RWXRXWPeace and Freedom from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QSXNR2Peace and Freedom from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

no, I think that you shouldn't have to pay for a healthcare system you aren't using

 @8PVT7RWPeace and Freedom from Arkansas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8M566Y5Peace and Freedom from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

yes, it would provide better and more affordable care for everyone . it would eliminate the financial threat and impaired access to care for the tens of millions who do not have coverage but are unable to afford the out-of-pocket expenses because of deficiencies in insurance plans .

 @8GLYFJXPeace and Freedom from Indiana  answered…5yrs5Y

No, this is worse for lower-income users. It makes them pay more taxes and, even if they do not use health care, giving people mass amounts of money is not good for people

 @8F7Q6HYWomen’s Equality from Arkansas  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8DVWRLCWomen’s Equality from Illinois  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8DQ6CTNWomen’s Equality from California  answered…5yrs5Y

No, because in many of these countries the health care is not as good as the US

 @8DKKV28Peace and Freedom from Illinois  answered…5yrs5Y

Healthcare should be provided for low income people who request it with the proper background check to make sure they do need it and people who can afford it should pay for it themselves

 @8DC8R38Peace and Freedom from New Jersey  answered…5yrs5Y

Each private healthcare company should be charged a certain income-tax type of fee to contribute to a system such as this one. This way, everyone who can afford private healthcare can receive what is covered by private healthcare and everyone who can’t will still receive healthcare.

 @8CSRB7BWomen’s Equality from Tennessee  answered…5yrs5Y

yes and no at the same time because yes everyone get heath care at a good cost but it will raise taxes for people who pay.

 @8CRYMRJPeace and Freedom from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8CNSVSVPeace and Freedom from Georgia  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8CL9ZBXPeace and Freedom from Illinois  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, however, this might damage good private companies that set out to help those that the government under the single-payer method cannot reach out to.

 @8CCTFSHPeace and Freedom from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but if people choose to opt out/can’t afford it, let them have the choice

 @8CB4R8DPeace and Freedom from Connecticut  answered…5yrs5Y

Its to expensive i feel like everyone should have health care the afforable and not just gonna kill you when you see it.U.s should put more of the u.s tax into health care instead of prisons.

I don't feel as though I know about this topic enough to weigh in on it.

 @97G779PPeace and Freedom from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

As long as it is not abused, or the people do not have to pay a very large amount of money.

 @8FR2HTPWomen’s Equality from Kansas  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but having a healthcare system with more people should also be accepted.

 @8DF7VQJPeace and Freedom from Ohio  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes and No. Without a single-payer healthcare system there would be no Medicare. No, because there are wealthy patients, whom if you take proper care of would donate money to these establishments.

 @8W8WFZ5Peace and Freedom from Connecticut  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but the rules and regulations for it should be extremely strict. For example, if someone goes to the hospital every week for pain meds, then they should start being charged and the same for all similar cases.
