Single-payer healthcare is a system where every citizen pays the government to provide core healthcare services for all residents. Under this system the government may provide the care themselves or pay a private healthcare provider to do so. In a single-payer system all residents receive healthcare regardless of age, income or health status. Countries with single-payer healthcare systems include the U.K., Canada, Taiwan, Israel, France, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.

Yes, but allow people to choose whether they want to use this system of a private one.
@8T8FWD54yrs4Y

No, competition will not exist. It will not adjust to demand and thus either doctors will be underpaid or patients will be overpaying. It might also reduce the incentive to not be reckless, increasing overall costs

No. A single-payer system ensures there is no competition in the market. Competition brings prices down. A single-payer system allows companies to charge whatever they'd like with no competition.

I don't think it would work very well citizens already don't want to pay taxes or give money away and the u.s has more people then most other countries
@8WV6ZL74yrs4Y
I am unaware on this topic
@8WH23T64yrs4Y
heath care should be free.
Yes, but allow people to use private insurance; use a system similar to Social Security, where everyone pays into it and can use it
@8FM93CX5yrs5Y
Yes, but keep the government out of health INSURANCE. The government should provide healthCARE to all its citizens at no cost. And do so by reducing existing budgets, and not by increasing taxes in any way.
