No, only if they are convicted of a violent crime for DACA recipients and non DACA illegals should be deported

 @9X2P6MZProgressive from Minnesota  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, however this measure ought not be an immediate deportation-sentence without due process according to immigration policies.

no, as long as it is a minor infraction. If it is a larger infraction, yes

 @8XLQS2QLibertarian from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

Immigrants need to be adhering the processes in place for immigration. That said, the United States' immigration policy needs to be desperately revamped so that an immigrant can successfully navigate it in a reasonable amount of time.

 @8RNXNV4 from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

There should be no such thing as illegal immigrants, except violent criminals.

 @8RJ7N9B from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

With no laws making immigration illegal there would be no need to turn immigrants over to federal immigration authorities. Of course this doesn't mean all immigration would be legal. Those immigrants who have been convicted of financial or violent crimes should be deported.

 @8RH9XD4 from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

Immigrants who are convicted of minor crimes and then serve their sentence and make restitution shouldn't be turned over to the feds.

 @8QGR4MF from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

well yes and no because if you come to a new country or even visiting a different country when you break the certain laws they have set down you're going to be up in big trouble regardless how it goes but if it's like they ran a light or mini things that doesn't include hurting or killing or endangering others then it doesn't seem like a bigger reason to go straight to deporting because of them being an immigrant.

 @8QGMKNR from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

I think illegal immigrants should be deported but the process to become a citizen should be easier.

 @8QC48BR from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

to answer the question it would be obviously yes because they took an oath to uphold the laws of the nation but asking with the word “allowed” is very idiosyncratic but my opinion on it is it should all depend on the situation of the immigrant.

 @8PWFVP2 from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

No if it is a minor crime yes if it involves drug trafficking or other violent crimes including hurting children or if it comes from a non-terrorist country

 @8PVR6TP from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, detain them if they commit a crime, but don't turn them in for deportation, as that is unnecessary.

They shouldn’t be transferred they should just be kept for whatever time they need for that crime and then let free just talk to them a lot and not send them back.

 @8P3PL84 from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but they should still be allowed to apply for citizenship and start a new life

 @8NXX47F from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8NDCCQ8 from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

If there is time to deal with it or space to put them in a local prison. Otherwise if you deport them it'll be faster and less work

 @8MPKR6PAmerican from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8MLZN2N from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

Illegal immigrants should be held to the same legal standard as citizens

 @8MBL29M from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

No because I think we all know somewhat on hoe the federal immigration authorities treat illegal immigrants and we know it's terrible and we wouldn't want to be treated like that so don't do it to someone else.

 @8M9BT59 from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

they should face regluar charges a citzen of the us would face but they shouldn't get deported

 @8M5R3PJ from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

Once found to be an illegal immigrant you should be deported straight away.

 @8LZRJ8F from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

I lean yes, but I worry about the abuse of this power, should be taken on a case by case situation depending on the person's track record and current situation

 @8LVHRYLLibertarian from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes but instead of deporting them provide a path to citizenship as long as the crime isn’t drug related.

 @8LTCCRK from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8LSHYC2Green from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

Probably but most immigrants travel to the U.S for opportunity and work. No American wants to do basic work I can assure you, I personally feel immigrants help keep grocery prices low.

 @8LJF5ZX from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8LBRW9J from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

There's a lot of race relations issues with deporting them over minor crimes, and one's situation may be different from one another.

 @8L6XK8C from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

Becoming a citizen should be easier, and ensure all immigrants for at least minor offenses are at least trying to become legal

 @8C57FGR from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

Illegal immigrants are in-country at their own risk. If they commit a crime, they are caught and subject to imprisonment and/or deportation.

 @97DGLDF from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

I think they should prove they are a good person but if they do something bad bad then you could bring them back to there original country

 @927Z7CV from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZC4MLMLibertarian from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

No, unless the crime is violent/extremely malicious. If they can pay a fine, they shouldn't be deported.

 @8RVMM6N from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8LRBBGCLibertarian from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8LCP9FQ from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but only if there becomes some way of determining legal/illegal status that does not require individuals to keep “status” papers or identification on them at all times.

 @8HSDTF2 from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

No, only if they are convicted of drug charges, or violent crimes, or after a maximum amount of illegal activities

 @8GGCN9F from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but they should be given a set amount of time to complete the correct immigration process or become a naturalized citizen.

 @8RKDFWP from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

No, only if they are convicted of a violent crime. But too many non-violent immigrants are being deported.

 @8BVCB3Y from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

The term "minor crimes" is too vague as opposed to the learn more section. That aside, major crimes such as violence felonies should result in a being turned over to federal immigration authorities. Minor crimes should be taken into consideration after a certain accumulated amount.

 @8RYDSCY from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, if they were born here and abolish all national borders. And grant citizenship to all after performing 4 years of military service or graduating college
