it shoudl not be abloished but there is too much weight on it for the current population. Instituting a mix of out right popular vote, ranked choice, and an electoral system would be most beneficial.

 @9QY5RBFIndependent from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

 @8NTJ4K6Independent from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

the abolishment of the electoral college theoretically won’t do much good depending on how you change it. if someone was to come up with a good and viable new idea i am completely willing to listen as the electoral college doesn’t give the citizens of America themselves the full voice they deserve.

 @8NP5DBD from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, it should come to an end because everyone should get a say in their own a opinion and not have one person choose for them after all doesn't everyone get a say when it come to voting.

 @8NKK9GB from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, however the popular vote should be held by people informed about the candidates and not allow an uninformed person to randomly vote based on propaganda

 @8N2MN9P from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

Make it like Germany. A popular vote for a person to represent the country (but doesn't hold any political power). Then, that president chooses a political leader, who is elected by Congress. That person would be the leader of the executive branch.

 @8LZQHYB from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8LDLJFN from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

it depends on how much power we the people have. if we have twice, thrice, or greater, than the representatives, no it should not. but if not, yes it should. by the way I think 18 is still to old to vote I think eighth graders and above have enough knowledge to vote too 👿😡😤🤬😡!

 @8JT2SMF from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

The system should be updated and be more democratic, Including representation of the whole country instead of just the two major parties

 @8JG3VSP from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8DX5L48 from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8QWCDJQ from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but there should be a ranked voting system ( 1. Republican, 2. Libertrian, 3. Constituiton, 4. Democratic, 5. Unity Party, you get the gist. If your 1st choice losses, you vote goes to 2, then maybe it your 2nd choice fails, it goes to 3, then 4, and so on) and a proportional system (for example, 69.1% of the vote in a 10 vote state = 7 electors).

 @8P33TNW from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

The electoral votes should be broken down by districts like in Maine and Nebraska

 @8LPW8YN from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

No time and time again, different ideas of voting have been thought of, each having their own flaws. While the Electoral College is flawed i its own way, it's our best option.
