No, flag code states that once a flag is no longer fit for use burning it is the most respectful way to dispose of it.

I personally wouldn’t but everybody has the right to do what they think is right.

In some cases where the flag has been damaged or touched the ground/floor, it is respectful to burn it. Boy Scouts are taught the way it should be done to be respectful. It can also be excused as a form of expression, specifically when one is doing it to protest or show their disapproval of a government decision, as that is a constitutional right. Burning it with the intention of being disrespectful or targeting a group or person should not be tolerated.

They should be allowed to if it is their own property even though it is technically illegal.

 @KW0519 from Tennessee  answered…4yrs4Y

Absolutely not. In fact, it’s considered the most respectful way to dispose of the flag especially if it no longer represents what it should. Burning the flag is a valid and legal form of protest.

No, burning the American flag is a form of free speech, and it is just a piece of cloth. The real representation of America shouldn’t be a tangible object.

No, if it's your own property you have the right to burn it, but if it's public property or the property of others then yes.

 @8P4JD6H from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but the symbol of the American flag shouldn't be on anything else besides the flag. No underwear, hats, etc.

 @8NWLRCW from California  answered…5yrs5Y

No, it is protected under the first amendment and should not be illegal if it is used as a form of protest

 @8MM5YZMIndependence from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

No, it is a piece of cloth that shouldn't own us. It represents our terrible country. I've seen burnings of LGBTQ+ flags, and no one said anything about that one. weird.

 @997JZGM from Georgia  answered…2yrs2Y

No, as it is actually in the flag code that burning the flag is the proper way to dispose of a flag.

 @8RV2V5JSocialist from Nebraska  answered…4yrs4Y

No, It doesn't really affect me, others should be able to do what they want.

 @tbwood from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

No, I don't like when people burn the American flag, but illegalizing it would be a violation of the first amendment.
