Yes, or some other service to the good of the country. A mandatory one year deployment after high school or college would give the younger generation much needed life e perience.

Yes, under the condition that they not be forced into combat in their first year unless they volunteer. The first year should be training and educating with the option of full enlistment at the end of the year.

If you want to be a public official I think you should have to serve a minimum of 2 years

Yes, but be allowed to substitute military service for other public services. Give them options.

No, but give juveniles an option to go into the military and learn skills or go into the prison system where they have a higher chance of re-offending.
