 @9TCVL85 from Alabama  answered…10mos10MO

require proof of registration with both an ID and non-ID option and automatically register voters upon turning 18.

 @9RWPCJXDemocrat from Maryland  answered…11mos11MO

If we require IDs, the government should be making efforts to make the process to obtain a legal ID easier. Voter fraud isn’t the massive issue that people make it out to be, but I do think that no IDs would make it easier for sinister parties to skew votes. The least we can do is make it accessible.

 @9RQZY87 from Ohio  answered…11mos11MO

Photo ID should be free to obtain for all, in which case someone should show their ID to register to vote

 @9RJ2H4P from Connecticut  answered…11mos11MO

 @9JPL7XD from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

 @9BNP59S from Montana  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but only if it can be insured that every voter has easy access to obtaining an ID. Being able to "vouch" for a voter should be allowed for a registered voter to do for someone else.

 @9J8YMWQPeace and Freedom from Georgia  answered…1yr1Y

Yes and No, as it would be useful in order to identify people. But on the other hand, I dont see why it's necessary in order to vote.

 @7WDP6PTIndependent  from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

 @9HTFPLHProgressive from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

Yes it should be required, however, for those citizens who want to vote but do not have the resources to obtain an ID and/or cannot afford it, the govt. should provide them with a photo ID for free, if said individual expresses the want to vote.

 @9DPJLD9 from Oklahoma  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9DH5D2L from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Question is vague. An ID generally is a good idea but just an ID photo can lead to citizens not being able to vote if they look different than their ID photo. Could make it harder to vote for US citizens. Having a citizen ID would make this much easier with a citizen code AND photo. That way citizens can prove citizenship with their code.

Yes, but it is only to confirm someone is registered to vote. All legal citizens should automatically be registered to vote from birth via SSN or up receipt of a state ID or license. We should also have multiple days in which we can vote. That, or, election day should be a national holiday. Latrines, water, food, shelter, (you know, basic human rights) should also be available to voters in line.
