Learn more about Cuba
In December 2014 President Obama ordered the restoration of full democratic relations with Cuba. The order lifted a 54 year old trade embargo and eased restrictions on banking and American’s travel to the country. Proponents of relations with Cuba argue that U.S. influence through tourism and trade will promote capitalism and weaken its communist regime. Opponents argue that trade and diplomatic relations will only strengthen the communist regime’s grip on the Cuban government. See recent Cuba news

No, even though it has been over 50 years since Cuba deployed Russian made nuclear weapons aimed at us, the communist mindset and animosity toward us has not changed. We might consider it if there were reason to think that diplomacy will change that. 2 years ago from a Constitution in Tacoma, WA

We have diplomatic relations with other Communist nations. There is nothing about Cuba that deserves less respect than China, Russia, or any other Communist country. 2 years ago from a Libertarian in Maysville, KY
Depends on the terms. It should happen on our terms not cuba's. 2 years ago from a Republican in Dallas, TX
