Yes, legalize it, release anyone serving time solely for drug uses, also tax it.

 @9ZBJ8Y4Libertarian from New York  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, and legalize, tax, regulate marijuana, and release one-time offenders serving time for possession of marijuana

 @Minarchist-08Libertarian  from Washington  answered…1yr1Y

The federal government should stay out of this and leave it to the States to decide (whom I would hope would not fully legalize it).

 @9JNNSJ3Libertarian from Kansas  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, though I'm against marijuana at the moment, I believe since there's no evidence of it being harmful that those who want to use marijuana should be allowed to do so.

 @joehochmanLibertarian from California  answered…9mos9MO

Legalize it with informed consent. Hazards of it need to be labelled like cigarets wit drug education like for tobacco.

 @9VLBRQFLibertarian from Missouri  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, I do because there are good reasons why marijuana is used. Even if some people use it poorly. I do support it.

 @9V727WBLibertarian from Colorado  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, but penalize those that abuse it and it leads to violent offenses. Also, ban smoking weed in public spaces just like cigarettes

 @9TLFR8XLibertarian from Minnesota  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, not only legalize marijuana but also psychedlics such as LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, DMT, ketamine. Treat it like alcohol and enforce the law for misuse exactly like alcohol.

Legalization of marijuana and the creation of “Medical marijuana” are nuanced multi-faceted issues that require more than yes/no options

 @9BWKX4GLibertarian from Indiana  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but it should never be allowed in public. It should be regulated the way alcohol is regulated, with age restrictions and activity restrictions (like not when driving) all people who are in jail only for non violent drug offenses should be let out.

 @84ZWD6LLibertarian from Pennsylvania  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QNBDMTLibertarian from Georgia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but there need to be new rules.
#1) need a license to carry/ have a certain amount ( just like you need a license to carry a gun)
#2) If you want to sell it you need a license to sell. Or its a crime
#3) you cant drive or operate any machinery under the influence or its a crime like alcohol.
#4) release anyone serving time for having a small percentage of marijuana on them.

 @8QJZ8Y9Libertarian from Michigan  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes. Also release anyone convicted of marijuana related crimes, programs to help them get back to normal life, and decriminalize all other substances and treat those addictions as mental health issues and help those to break their addictions.

 @8PYMKHYLibertarian from California  answered…5yrs5Y

Medical use yes. But I don't support any recreational drugs like liquor and cigarettes at all. If people want to smoke, fine but I don't want to be exposed to it. If it was all gone, I would think the world would be better.

Yes, and immediately release anyone serving time solely for marijuana possession, distribution, or trafficking

 @8NZSFFBLibertarianfrom Virgin Islands  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes. Not only marijuana or all drugs. The reason is simple, i myself have a deep hatred for any kinds of drugs, even the "popularized" ones like tobacco and alcohol. However, its not my business whether my neighbour wants get stoned or sniff cocaine and i'll never defend that someone should be threatened of violence or aggressed just because they disagree whether drugs, are bad or not.

It should be up to each State, but I believe they should release anyone serving jail time for only drug offenses (expunge records) and tax, regulate, and legalize all types of drugs like alcohol and cigars/cigarettes, with age requirements, etc. Medical records should include details of use, so that they are taken into account for physical and mental health situations.

 @84JHJXZLibertarian from GU  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, for both medical and personal use. Also, release those serving time solely for drug possession.
