Reduce energy consumption. Use fossil fuels to build the infrastructure for only needing what the earth can sustain or less.

 @9QW85WX from Minnesota  answered…10mos10MO

I'm ok with it as long as corners are not being cut to save a dollar during extraction. Most of the disasters we are seeing are during transport. Which DOES need to be delt with

 @9JPDJPN from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but this resource belongs to the citizens of the U.S. & the profits from it should be for the citizens of the U.S. not private companies who leave the mess for the country to clean up.

 @9JLGZP7 from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

Yes but since the offshore drilling can come with dangerous consequences it should be monitored more carefully since this can cause spilling and accidents that are VERY dangerous.

 @9JGX4ZC from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

We should provide more options for safer cleaner ways the get energy and if we can't figure anything out, we shall continue to drill.

 @9H4SDP6 from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

i believe yes to a point. we need more but not a copious amount of them. we should transition to greener sources but make it a slower transition

 @9H3NM9X from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

Keep it how it is until we have the infrastructure to support the country with alternative energy sources, then begin to decrease it.

 @9GYVLTZ from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

they should be decreasing because too much oil gets spilled already and kills too many fishes let the fishes live

No, but maintain our current offshore oil wells while continue not to provide more incentives for alternative energy

we need to stop because we are killing in the ocean. hurting the envierment. yet it is something that we could not stop and have hevey regulations on and restrictions.

No, end all offshore oil drilling, denounce fossil fuels, and redirect funding as well as provide more incentives for alternative energy production.

No, we have many sources of oil in the inland United States, and nuclear power is much more efficient and clean.

 @8RPDF4F from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

we Can continue oil production but we should stop until we have found a replaceable energy source

 @8RL7ZN2Libertarian from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

We need to be more independent and stop going over seas for everything, costs more and causes problems

 @8RKSZXJ from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8RJ7N9B from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

No, end all oil drilling. Also end all energy subsidies. Instead encourage the use of cleaner alternative energy sources and price green house gas emissions.

 @8R3S5CJ from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but continue to subsidize renewable energies at the same or increased rate in order to make the technology cheaper.

 @8R2LHGT from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

not unless it is absolutely necessary and the pros overly outweigh the cons

 @8QXP2NCPeace and Freedom from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QXNKMH from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but there are a few sectors along the coast that don't harm anything that is fair game. I think the government needs to stop drilling in sectors that would affect their industry... like around Florida, and Georgia where tourism is a big industry, or in Alaska where they do a ton of salmon fishing. And encourage other forms of energy.

 @8QN6G7TRepublican from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

We need oil but we should utilize renewable resources. I'm not saying get rid of oil we need it for everything, but we need to figure out a source of energy that won't damage the planet/climate.

If its outside the US then no but if its still within our boundries then yes

People that know what they are doing and that have proof that it is save to drill should drill, but to the people that drill and don't have permission shouldn't drill.

Yes and No, I belive the US should make deals and treaties with the oil-containing countries. Instead of destroying their entire homes.

 @98ZLW55 from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

 @98ZGTXK from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

No, the U.S should be investing in more renewable and safe energy sources.

 @AWeiseyyy24Republican from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

 @regularjake55 from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only if it can be shown that there is a good reason to drill offshore rather than on land.

 @97G779PPeace and Freedom from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZC4MLMLibertarian from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but safety, emergency, and containment protocols must be held at the highest standards.

 @8RH7NR9 from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8QNRJ5Q from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

we should keep drilling tell we have a other energy source than putting solar pannels on car for energy because gas would be really high on prices.

 @8PDPKTY from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8JRSXTGGreen from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

No, the effects of offshore oil drilling are too harmful to the environment, we should focus on safe and renewable sources of energy.

 @8RZ94JPIndependence from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

The U.S. should reduce its oil drilling production in general and put more money into researching alternatives means of energy production as to move forward with cleaner energy in a quicker fashion.

 @9GZBCZL from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

Depending on if we can find a way to live without drilling for more oil. If we need it then I agree with more offshore oil drilling.

 @974P9BL from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

i feel we should use more of our own oil before going to other countries to drill and mine it i'm not saying ban drilling in other countries i just think we should use our own oil first

 @8RL7MDR from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8Y2SW4M from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

It should be up to the company that owns the pipeline and the state its drilling in.

 @8RKDFWP from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

Expand off-shore oil drilling only if drillers put up a bond that will pay for ruptures, leaks, and or spills. And use Exxon Valdez and Deepwater Horizon as a guide to determining how ;large the bond should be.
