Yes, but eliminate marriage entirely from governmental oversight, and make the default a civil union

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia  commented…2yrs2Y

Honestly I’d be good with this, civil unions for all under the law sounds better than just limiting it to non-straight people.

 @9D764GP from Massachusetts  answered…2yrs2Y

Marriage is a religious institution. As such it should be protected. Civil contracts are able to be entered into by any adult or adults. Nobody should be forced to agree with your choices just because you have the right to make them.

 @9YMBFG7 from Massachusetts  answered…11mos11MO

I think marriage should only be allowed between man and woman but idk I could careless who someone wants to marry.

 @9VWKQ7H from Massachusetts  answered…11mos11MO

I support anyone who wants to be married but the government should not be involved in anything to do with the church and people should have the right to refuse conducting the ceremony.

  @95PZ4NX  from Massachusetts  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, however the government should not be involved in marriage and not discriminate on the base of it. Also nobody should be subjected to compelled speech.

 @9K9GF5G from Massachusetts  answered…2yrs2Y

I'm entirely neutral on the subject and the citizen marrying them should also have a say in legalizing the marriage.

Yes, I do, everyone has the right to marry their love of life. How would you feel if you couldn't marry the person you love just because of the same sex? This is America.

 @93YSRRX from Massachusetts  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and the government should also acknowledge polyamorous domestic partnerships

 @93LTCGG from Massachusetts  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but allow churches the right to refuse same-sex ceremonies by separating the religious and civil ceremonies.

 @93FYPY8 from Massachusetts  answered…3yrs3Y

No, the original definition of marriage is between a man and a woman and the redefining of marriage basically makes it a partnership and something you can get out of easily

Duh, whoever says no has a right to their beliefs but I will never understand why you would say that. It is not your life to decide and take away rights from a very large group of people who have done nothing wrong.

 @8J9CY37 from Massachusetts  answered…5yrs5Y

Remove government from marriage altogether and make it a private, contractual relationship.

I do not agree that a man and another man or a woman and another woman should marry because I believe that it is meant to be a man and a woman. That is how God made it. I have nothing against people like that, I simply don't agree with it.
